Destinaro's Rebirth Update: 2

Well, after a long time of DestinaRO being online (3 years+) going through its ups and downs, its finally time to rebalance everything and start from fresh. The decision was talked about it with all the remaining active players, and every one agrees.

We plan on re-opening DestinaRO's rebirth sometime on Feb 20th, or sooner. All information will be kept up to date on our forums. With this, we plan to introduce:

� New Website
� New Client/Content
� A more balanced system (to avoid economy instability in the long run)
� Tweaked WoE to provide a more fun and challenging time for guilds
� New dedicated staff
� More events!!!
� Increased EXP rates and DROP for the first week or two
� 10x (25% EXP) Manual, 10x (100%) bubble gums will be automatically distributed to ALL characters that are created on DAY 1. (These items are char bound)
� New form of advertising, ranging from RateMyServer to more outgoing sources.
� Over 20,000 emails registered in the database, invitations will be sent out, introducing DestinaRO's rebirth

Destinaro's Rebirth

So for the past weeks, since I've returned, I've held meetings, to discuss with the current active players what would be the best course of action to take, to help improve Destina and bring it back to its once glorious days. After countless ideas, there was no real solid plan to help the already 'dead' server. So, a wipe was suggested, to start fresh. However we discussed ways to go on about this and not just wipe blindly. So here are our future plans for DestinaRO.

DestinaRO will be wiping, I cannot tell you exactly WHEN it will wipe, as many things are still being worked on, however what I can tell you is that, a new website, new client, new dedicated staff, new events, and much more will be introduced in destina's rebirth, but it doesn't stop there, thanks to destina long time of being online, I've learned a lot, so future steps will be taken to prevent the same disasters from hitting such as a terrible unstable economy. So we will definitely be looking at a more stable destina, and with the proper advertising we will attract both new and old to destina's rebirth. As of right now, we have over 15,000 emails from previous ex players. Invitations will be sent out to every one of them, about the word of destina's rebirth. With the help of other advertising sites, such as RateMyServer, Facebook, Myspace we will be expecting a large some of players on day 1. At least over 300-500,

Not only that, but we will also be holding up events, such as first player to 99, first guild to reach X level, first player to obtain all pvp based gears/cards, and many more, so it will definitely be appealing for anyone wanting to start fresh again. Not only that, but we will also have increased EXP rates for the first week, to make the grinding a little tedious, and to top it off, any character that is made on DAY 1, will receive 10 (25% EXP) battle manuals, 10 (100% drop rate) bubble gums these will be non-tradable, and char-bound cannot store them either to make it fair and balanced.

Expect a more balanced WoE, to make battles between guilds more interesting and challenging, and with so many people coming back, you can bet it will be great. Castle loots will also be changed, to something everyone will enjoy, as well as a weekly castle rotation.

I cannot tell you exactly WHEN the grand opening date will be, however it should be by Feb 20th, or less. I will make sure to keep you all updated.

Gm Valkyrie Is Back!

That's right!! I'm finally back, after what? 1-2 months. I've missed you guys, and I'm more determined then ever, to bring this server back to life. Any help will be appreciated, will be taking suggestions, or anything =]

I am building an event for Halloween. This event will be hosted in Niflheim, and the 2 field maps.

To play, you simply find a door on a building, and click on the door to knock on it. When this happens, you will either receive a treat, or you will receive a bunch of monsters. The monsters for this event will be an event Jakk. The Jakk will drop consumables, as well as collectible items to use to obtain a Mask Cube. All you have to do is collect 5 each of the 3 collectible items, and then deposit it in a chest. The chest will appear by chance on the fields of Niflheim. You have 5 minutes to go look for it. The chest will have your name on it. When you put the items into the chest, close it, and than open it again, if it works, you will have the headgear. If it does not work, nothing will be in the chest.

The event will probably be held on Monday server time. I am unfortunately busy this weekend, and will probably miss an opportunity to contact [GM] Valkyrie to put the event up on server, during the server weekend.

The event will run for 2 days before ending, so there will be plenty of time for people to attend.

Server Update:
� Mastela Tree Event Added
Four players assemble to fight for mastela fruit. The mastela fruit is the modified type that sells for 0 zeny to an npc and is not tradeable or vendible. If the monsters become too many, no more mastelas spawn until the monster numbers drop. If any of the bombs on the map explode, the players are kicked from the map. A player can only collect their own mastelas, and not somebody elses. If the player does not collect their mastelas, they don't get them. Cooldown on event is account bound 90 minutes from the start of the event. A total of 140 mastelas can be collected per player from this event. Event runs on Sundays. Entrance is in Geffen Dungeon. You will need a Rope[3] to attach to the tree to climb down.

Advertisement Bots On Forum

Lately there has been an increase in bots that will try to advertise to you by spamming the forums with garbage. Us staff have been working on stopping the adverts, along with the users who post them up. If you find a thread or a post that has advertising in it, instead of posting in reply to the advert, click the report button. Thank you for your co-operation. Server Updates
� Players can now /memo glast_01 (Glast Helm courtyard), to easily access the dungeons.
� EXP rates have been restored to normal
� Drop rates have been doubled! (20x)
� 3 New headgears have been added to the Donation NPC: (Observer 5315, Cyclops Eye 5135, Angeling hat 5132)
� The following items and prices have been changed on the donation NPC:
Bubble Gum 600 now 100
Field manual 25% 750 now 250
Field manual 100% 3000 now 700
� New world has been added to the warp agent
� New world town now has a kafra and a healer.
� Valhalla Trader will no longer be activated once every 2 weeks, but randomly now.
� Valhalla no longer sells bloody branches at 7,5m per 2, but now at each.
� The party range level has been lowered from 30 to 20.
� Auction fee has been properly fixed, each hour is now 300z
(client will show 12,000z per hour, but fear not, it only subtracts 300z per hour its up)

� No Exp while idle timer changed from 600 seconds to 180 seconds (for duration of exp event)
� GMP items are ready to be picked up ~ PM Valkyrie on forums or ingame.

Joining DestinaRO as a new guild or player has never been better. To make life easier and less of a hassle, DestinaRO is now offering a GMP (Guild Migration Package). Your probably wondering what this is right? Well let me give you a few ideas of what this is, and how to get it:
New guilds that join DestinaRO of 7 or more people (though some exceptions can be made) will be giving the following items to the leader, to distribute evenly among his/her guild members:

Items & Stuff
• Emperium
• Battle Manual | +100% EXP for 1 hour
• Bubble Gum | +100% Drop Rates for 1 hour.
• Agility Box | Contains scrolls, that buff you with level 10 Increase Agility
• Bless Box | Contains scrolls, that buff you with level 10 Blessing
• Assumption | Contains scrolls, that buff you with level 5 assuption
• Box of Enriched Elu | Contains Enriched Elunium
• Box of Enriched Ori | Contains Enriched Oridecon
• Free +2 upgrade to any weapon/or armour (restrictions apply)
........and much more
(PS: The amount of items given to the guild, will be dependent on the amount of players switching/moving over)

Assistance
Your new guild will ALSO be assisted by a GM, to help your new form guild level up, such as hosting private DB events, and best part is, it won't be just for the day, but throughout the week.

DestinaRO's GMP Goal:
DestinaRO's GMP's goal is to help new guilds better prepare for woe, because we all know, starting new on a server that has NEVER wiped (and never will) is always tough, but our job isn't to make things hard for you, but to make things fun and entertaining. So if your up for the challenge.

A little more about this........
What makes all of this even more interesting? With the new GMP, many new guilds are showing interest, and the challenge of it? Is to face off against veterans who have been playing DestinaRO for a long time, and they've been a little edgey its time the new generation of guilds come and show them their place=] and to TOP things off, we will be holding a 2x EXP/JOB event on August 27th on Friday, it will go on until September 1st, Wednesday, and that's not even all of it. Afterwords on September 1st, Wednesday the drop rates will be increased from 10x to 20x until September 6th, Monday. So not only will you be able to level up faster, but you will then after grinding/exp'ing away, you will then be able to look for those items you'll be needing!

Advertising Of Another Server

Castle Rotation Fe & Autotrade Timer

Scarlet Palace at Payon is the new location for WoE FE.

Also, currently there is a 5 day autotrade kick timer. After 5 days, your autotrade vend will close. This timer will however be change to 10 days. If you are noticing less vends around, that would be the reason. The purpose of this feature is to remove stale vends, and encourage users to update their shops.

Item Description Updates

Want the latest item descriptions before they come out on the DestinaRO Patcher? You can download the update from here!!

Simply place the files from inside the archive into the data folder of your DestinaRO directory. If the data folder does not exist in the DestinaRO game directory, please create it. Yes, you will need to extract the num2itemdesctable.txt and idnum2itemdesctable.txt from the .7z archive in order to use them.

These files will be later added to the patcher.

King Of The Hill

On Saturday the 7th of August, at 02:30 HOUR server time (check @time for server time), there will be hosted the King of the Hill event. This is a party versus party event where the aim is to capture the stone structure in the middle, and hold it for the longest duration of the match. To capture the stone structure, simply click it until all the points on the structure are depleted. The match duration will be 20 minutes. The event will be held at the Private Rooms. The password: enter

All are invited to come! You have until the starting time of the event to organize your parties. The prize will be 20x Box of Sunlight + 5x Assumptio Scroll Box(10).

If you are not sure on how to get to the private rooms, simply warp to Izlude City via the Warp Agent. You will see the option on the menu. n__n

Valhalla Trader Bug

If you plan on buying Bloody Branches from the Valhalla Trader (7,500,000 zeny each), make sure NOT to buy too many at one time. There is a bug in the script with buying BB. The script only counts the weight for the amount you input, but does not factor in a times 2 effect. Cause you receive 2 BB for each 1 amount, and the script only counts the amount atm; and if you buy more then you can carry, they will drop to the floor, and you will have to try and save them. If this does happen to you, SCREENSHOT it immediately, with your cursor over the item, then try and rescue them from off the floor, if possible. Evidence of the event helps you in getting them back.

Edit: this bug has been fixed.

[GM] Valkyrie Battle Room - ALPHA 0.2 - Added a new skill. Adjustments to existing skills. Remade the menu system.
Research Series - Ziegfried Quest - v1.0 - First version. Added Ziegfried Quest!
Item Database Repairs - Adjusted the following items to work correctly: 5448, 5449, 5360, 5396, 5404, 5378, 5214, 5293, 5467, 14447, 4451, 4450, 5548, 5332, 5462, 13038. Set the following items to not allow refinement: 2777, 2778, 2779, 2780, 2781, 2782, 2783, 2787, 2788, 2789, 2790, 2791, 2794, 2795, 2796, 2797, 2798, 2799, 5470. Instructions given to be applied on next server reboot, that will fix all refined accessories, and 1 mid-headgear, to 0 refinement level in the database. Further notes: I found the Entweihen Card active with overkill stats in the item_db2.txt. A player in-game that had the card already, showed me the power it has. It's for real!! Anyways, item balance applied.
Valhalla Trader - This NPC will serve as a zeny sink to the economy, to help combat inflation. The items provided are balanced and acceptable, with reasonable prices assigned to each item that is sold. A fixed number of consumables are sold, as well as only 4 headgears are available. The event runs every two weeks, for two days on the weekend. The headgears are randomly selected from a list of 108. The event will not offer the same headgears that were available the last two weeks ago.
Warp Agent - v1.8 - Moved the Vending Arena to a new map. Added VT to the script and moved it to the Vending Arena. VT will now run auto.
Advanced Banker - v1.2 - Set max deposit/draw to 99mil.
Nidhoggur Quests - v1.2 - Fixed a bug with the Dandelion Member not appearing if somebody who is not participating in the quest kills the monster. Adjusted the name of the kill switch to match the name of the file. Loner's Box has been fixed. Portal Switch has been fixed. (Tenshi07, Chilly)
Black Hole Survivor Event - v1.8 - Bugfix to the Black Hole effects. White Lady Pet has been banned from the event. Changed '#ret_ip$' to '@ret_ip$'. Changed the Monday start time to 07:00 Hour.
Private Rooms - v1.7 - Bugfix to renting a room. Random bug would cause you to lose the room, and then you would get stuck and couldn't rent a room anymore. Changed '#ret_ip$' to '@ret_ip$'.
Bloody Branch Quest - v1.7 - Fixed some typos.
Dungeon Chest Event - v1.8 - Changed the start time to 20:00 hours server time.
Mobile Weddings - v1.6 - Fixed a bug with the reject option.
Top 10 Killers Event - v1.7 - Changed '#ret_ip$' to '@ret_ip$'.
