IRC Information
To make it easy for people to chat with other players from DestinaRO, we've provided two different ways to connect to our IRC channel. Choose wich one is best for you, and come chat with us!
Connecting with mIRC
The other way to connect to the channel is by downloading an IRC client, such as mIRC. Once you download and install the program, you're only a few steps away from connecting to our IRC channel.
Server Information
Server: irc.kdfs.net
Channel: #DestinaRO
Shortcut: /server irc.kdfs.net -j #DestinaRO
mIRC Instructions
Once you install and run mIRC, you'll need to fill in a little bit of basic information. The example screenshot should give you a good idea of what to do, but below is a more detailed description of each field.
Full Name: This can be anything you want. It won't be shown unless someone uses /whois on you.
Email Address: Self-explanatory. It's usually best use a fake email address, in order to avoid spam.
Nickname: This is the name that will be visible on IRC. You can't use one that has already been registered by another person.
Alternative: This is simply a 'backup' nickname, in case there are problems with the first one.
After you've finished filling in the information however you want, select "Servers" from the left menu. Scroll through the list until you see KDFSnet, then click on it and hit the "Select" button. You'll now be back at the window where you first put in your information.
Click on the "Connect to server" button, wait for it to connect to the server, and then just type /join #destinaro to join our IRC channel.
Connecting with Java
If you don't already have mIRC on your computer, and don't feel like taking the time to download it, you can use our Java IRC client to connect to the channel. While this isn't the best method to use when compared to downloading an IRC program, it's faster and easier, and will have you connected to the channel with just a couple of clicks.
